Frank J. Zack, 79, of Taylor, passed away on Friday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, following an illness.  HIs wife is the former Helen Sklarski.  The couple would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on November 26th.  Born June 11, 1946 in Duryea, son of the late Frank and Bertha Kachinski Zack, Frank was a graduate of Northeast High School, Duryea, and earned an Associates Degree in Business from Lackawanna College.  Frank honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  Frank was employed as a truck driver with New Penn and retired from Roadway.  Frank was a member of teamsters Local 220 and later Teamsters Local 401.   He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, West Scranton.  A loving husband, brother, uncles, and friend, Frank always put family first in his life.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife, siblings, and especially his nieces and nephews.  Always on the go, Frank never missed an opportunity to give of himself to others who needed his help.  An avid Eagles fan, Frank will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  Surviving in addition to his wife are his siblings, Lorraine Butcher, Taylor, and Marcel Zack, and wife, Donna, Duryea; Sister-in-law, Marion Genova, and husband, John, Old Forge; and several nieces and nephews, including adopted nephew Tony Ruchak.  A nephew, Ted Kneiss, and brother-in-law, Edward Butcher, Jr., also preceded him in death.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge at 10:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in SS. Peter and Paul Church, 1309 W. Locust Street, West Scranton.  Private interment with Military Honors will be in the parish cemetery.  Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 9 – 10:30 AM in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.  To leave an online condolence, please visit the funeral home website.
