Eric Wade Jenkins, 54, of Duryea, died Tuesday morning at Wilkes Barre General Hospital after battling MS for many years.
Born October 25, 1970 in Duryea, son of Faith Jones Wudarski, Duryea, and the late Myron Jenkins, III, Eric was a graduate of Pittston Area High School where he attended Vocational Technical studies. For most of his life, Eric was employed by Panel Prints, Old Forge. He was a member of the Brick United Methodist Church and a social member of the VFW Post 1227, both of Duryea.
Learning many skilled trades in high school, Eric was very mechanically inclined and meticulous in nature. He enjoyed repairing lawn mowers and small engines and working on cars. Ultra MAGA through and through, Eric had no interest in politics until Donald J. Trump stepped onto the scene. From that moment on, Eric has been one of President Trump’s most ardent supporters. Eric loved his family first and foremost, and will deeply missed by all who loved him.
Surviving in addition to his mother are: a son, Eric Jenkins, Jr., Scranton; a grand daughter, Natalia; siblings, David Jenkins, and wife, Valerie, and Jennifer Coursen, and husband, Jeff, Scranton; step brothers, Joseph and Richard Wudarski; “adopted daughter” and longtime nurse aide, Janene Gale; best friend, Mike Gray; former wife, Debbie Jenkins, and her daughter, Victoria Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Myron Jenkins, IV, preceded him in death in 2024.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2 PM in the Marcy Cemetery, Foote Avenue, Duryea, with Rev. Wendy D’Agostino, officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., Old Forge.
