Obituaries

Robert Mazur, age 84 of Pittston and formerly of Duryea, passed away on Friday at Oak Ridge Health Care Center following an illness. On March 10, 1998, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and beloved wife, Patricia (Best) Mazur.

Born in Pittston on July 3, 1940, Robert was the son of the late Carmen and Anna (Mazur) DelPriore. After Pittston Area High School, he began a career in construction where he was a member of the Laborer’s Construction Union #130.

A talented woodworker whose favorite pastime was building bird houses, he also loved music (Elvis fan!) and enjoyed trips to the casino. Amazingly kind and selfless, he passed away peacefully and is now reunited once again with his adored wife.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Seechock and husband Michael of Dalton and Renee Mazur of Pittston and two grandchildren, Michael and Cali Seechock.

His family would like to thank the entire staff of Oakridge Nursing Center for the care and kindness given to Robert throughout his stay with them.
