Obituaries

Kenneth (Ken) Todd Williams of West Scranton passed away on Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center shortly after arrival due to the complications of a stroke. He was 64 years old.

Born in Scranton on February 2, 1961, Kenneth was the son of his loving mother, Joann (Miles) Knapp and husband Robert of Scranton, and his late father, Ivor Williams. He attended Riverside High School and had worked in hospitality, employed by various area restaurants prior to illness. Above all else came his selfless and kindd nature. He was always willing to help others and would give anyone in need the shirt off of his back. Now at peace, he will be missed.

He is also survived by his wife, Kathleen Williams of Scranton; his son, Jason Williams of Scranton; his brothers, Russell Williams and Douglas Williams, both of Scranton, and Dennis Williams of Moosic; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Williams, and a sister, Dale Ann Williams.

His family would like to acknowledge and thank the entire staff of Geisinger C.M.C. who went above and beyond for both Ken and his family throughout his stay at the hospital.

In one last act of kindness, he participated in the donation program ensuring his memory lives on forever in the lives of others.
