Betty L. Gray, 79, of Lititz, died Tuesday morning at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 61 years is Warren Gray.

Born October 9, 1945 in Scranton, daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Warren Smith, Betty was a 1963 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a graduate of Antone’s Cosmetology School. Betty was employed as a waitress with Smith’s Restaurant, and previous to that, at the Charlemonte. A member of Ephrata Community Church and LCBC Ephrata, as well as DOVE Christian Fellowship and Life Center, Betty was a deep woman of prayer and involved extensively in prayer teams at each church.
Betty loved her family more than anything, she enjoyed the children and never forgot a birthday, Christmas, or any special milestones in their lives. The impact Betty made on countless lives will never be forgotten.

Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Betty Kloppenburg, and husband, Chris, Albuquerque, NM, Warren Gray, Jr., Manheim, Travis Gray, and wife, Kim, Davenport, FL, Stephen Bailey, and wife, Cindy, New Jersey, Dorothy Martin, and husband, Ed, Ephrata, and David Bailey, and wife, Linda, Ephrata; 19 grandchildren; Christian, TravisJack, Joshua, Serenity, Alison, Jonathon, Taylor, Paige, Sheena, Shaunda, Samantha, Isaiah, Zach, Gabe, Austin, and Victoria: and 13 great grandchildren. brothers, Terry Smith, and wife, Fran, Florida, Leroy Smith, and wife, Kay, Scranton, David Smith, and wife, Sidney, Scranton, and Stephen Smith, Altoona: sisters Gloria and Linda; and several cherished nieces and nephews.

A brother, Buddy Smith, and Sisters, Carolyn, Mary, Grace, Naomi, and Betrice preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at a time to be announced in the spring.
