Mary (Graff) Lynott, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away on Wednesday at Geisinger C.M.C., Scranton. She was 67 years old.
Born on January 6, 1958, and daughter of the late Lewis and Margaret “Peggy” (Ogden) Graff, Mary was educated at the former North Scranton High School. Along with raising her beloved children, she also served as supervisor and familiar face at Krispy Kreme in Scranton.
Mary had a big heart, especially for cats, having saved the lives of countless by rescuing them throughout many years. An amazing baker, her family could always count on a personal cake on their birthdays. To be remembered in so many ways, the most important thing to Mary was her family. From spending time with her children to family game night (especially Po-Ke-No!) and cook-outs to her absolute angel, her grandson, they certainly meant everything to her.
The absolute matriarch of her family, she was as strong and brave as it gets. Her selflessness will never be forgotten as she always put others before herself.
She will be forever missed.
She is survived by her loving family, including her children, Jennifer Bielawne and husband Keith of Forest City, John P. Conrad, III of Scranton and Paul Conrad and wife Michelle of Taylor; her grandson and best friend, Caeleb Breymeier; her siblings, Lewis Graff, Jr. of Fl., Richard Graff of Scranton, Eva Moore and husband David of Scranton and Laura Nestorick of Wilkes Barre; her sister-in-law, Jaclyn Honeycutt of Scranton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her aunt/godmother, Jean Marie Jones.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
