Lori A. Pierce, R.N., a Dalton resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. She was 63 years old.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 40 years, Timothy Pierce. The couple were married on December 15, 1984.
Born on September 9, 1961 and daughter of the late Roland and June (Finken) Shook, Lori was a graduate of the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing before enlisting and honorably serving in the U.S. Navy for a decade. She would earn her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Indiana University Fort Wayne. She would retire as a registered nurse from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Lori’s shining characteristics were aplenty, however her selfless kindness tops them all. Generous to a fault, she was always there to help others. She organized fundraisers, was always cooking, baking and sewing, where her talents were award winning. Also a professional shopper, she loved spoiling her grandsons, and her husband and her children were truly her world. Now at peace, she will be forever missed.
Along with Tim, she is survived by her beloved children, Atty. Abigail Schock and husband Andrew of OH., and Benjamin Pierce of Dunmore; her grandsons, Theodore and Walden Schock; three brothers, Michael, Robin and Bruce Shook, all of OH.; and nieces and nephews.
