Donna James, a lifelong Old Forge resident, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 23rd. She was 65 years young.
She is survived by the love of her life and partner of over 40 years, Lawrence (Larry) Papi.
Born May 7, 1959, Donna was the daughter of the late Loretta and Frank Meickowski. An animal lover, she adored her beloved dogs, “Baby” and “Annabelle” and her two cats. A devoted mother and grandmother, above all else came her family. Although heartbroken, they will enure her memory lives on forever.
Along with Larry, she is survived by her loving children, Christy Sovitch of Old Forge, Paul Francis Durdan and wife Lisa of Avoca, and Chasity Breymeier and husband Allan of Jenkins Twp.; her grandchildren, Elliot Yadouga, Samantha and Dominick Tagliaterra, Kyle Breymeier, and Paul Durdan; siblings, Joseph Marchise of Olyphant, Charles “Chucky” Marchise of Bear Creek Twp. and Debbie Owens of Pittston Twp.; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was also preceded in death by a brother Ronald Marchise. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, between 5pm and 7pm and a blessing service at 7pm at Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc. 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge.
