Joanne M. Brady-Mulholland, age 69 and a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away Saturday, November 23rd, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Mulholland. Wed on December 8, 1990, the couple were married for 34 years.
Born on February 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Manetti and Catherine (Kanavey) Giles. After studying at Lackawanna College, she worked as a claims representative for Prudential Insurance Co. before working at the Center for Independent Living prior to her illness.
A fixture at all church hall BINGOs, Joanne ran games throughout the area for years. Above all else, she adored her family and will forever be remembered by her loved ones.
She is also survived by her children, devoted caregiver Margo Mulholland of Scranton, Dawn Marie Hill of Bethlehem, William “Snapper” Miller and wife Paige of Mo., and Bridget Ann Knoch of Scranton; 11 grandchildren including her special granddaughter, Elliana Amora Brady; a great grandson; siblings, Michaeline “Micki” Gilgallon, Nancy Manetti, Betty Unger and Anthony Manetti; and nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Joanne “Jani” Brady; and a sister, Deborah Hastings, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin on Thursday at 9:15 AM from the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton, with a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson Street in West Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Richard Fox, Pastor. Burial will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday between 4-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
