Obituaries

Ronald M. Koytek, 69, of Duryea, died Friday, November 8th, after an illness.  His wife of 47 years is the former Kathleen Manning.

Born October 17, 1955 in Taylor, son of the late Stanley and Mary Cebula Koytek, Ron was a graduate of Riverside High School.  For over 40 years Ron was employed by MacTac in Moosic as a machine operator.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Ron’s greatest enjoyment in life was spoiling his grandchildren.  A man of great determination and perseverance, Ron earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  An avid fisherman and hunter, Ron will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his sons, Ronald Koytek, Jr., Duryea, Andrew Koytek, and wife, Ashley Cooper, Duryea, Christopher Koytek, and Wife, Stephanie, Scranton, and Joseph Koytek, Duryea; Five grandchildren, Miah, Sophia, Lainey, Anderson, and Skylee; Brothers, Stanely Koytek, Duryea, and David Koytek, Pittstburgh.

A son, Michael Koytek, preceded him in death.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family and are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., Old Forge.
