Francisco “Chicky” Ramirez
January 27,1946 – November 14, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francisco “Chicky” Ramirez, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who departed this life peacefully on November 14, 2024, at the age of 77 with his family at his side. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Chicky made his mark in Manhattan as a talented freelance commercial advertiser, designing for iconic brands like Woolworth, JC Penney, and Macy’s. His creativity left a lasting impression on the industry and all who worked with him.

Chicky shared 58 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Irma Ramirez of Manatí, Puerto Rico. Together, they raised two children, David and Jennifer, and were blessed with six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Chicky also leaves behind his loving siblings, Carmen and Robert.

Known as the family’s comedian, Chicky brought laughter and joy to all gatherings. He was an avid paddleball player in his youth, a sport he approached with as much passion as he did life. His warmth, humor, and zest for fun will be cherished in the memories of everyone who knew him.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Oakridge Nursing Home staff for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Chicky. Special gratitude goes to his dedicated nurses, Jen and Dennise, who were always by his side, and Chris Piza, ADON, for the ongoing support. We are also deeply grateful to his wonderful CNA team, especially his stepson, Shawn, whose love and dedication kept him comfortable in his final days. Chicky loved you all dearly.
