Brad “Hooks” A. Carone, 49, of Roaring Brook Twp., died Tuesday, Sept. 24 after being stricken ill.
Born Sept. 24, 1975 in Scranton, son of Debbie Howey Carone, Roaring Brook Twp. and the late Anthony T. Carone, Brad was a 1994 graduate of West Scranton High School. Brad was currently employed by Sam’s Club, Dickson City. Of the protestant faith, Brad was a member of Connect Church, Taylor.
A loving son, brother, uncle and father, Brad had a heart of gold. Whether it be be helping someone in need, giving sound advice or being the voice of reason, Brad would drop what he was doing and give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed a helping hand. An avid sports fan, Brad cheered on the Dodgers and the Eagles. A talented bowler, Brad was a member of multiple leagues in the Anthracite Valley USBC and bowled numerous 300 games. Taken too soon, Brad will be forever live in the hearts of those he loved.
Surviving in addition to his mom are daughters, Nicole Carone, Kristina Carone and Giovanna Milewski; grandsons, John, Robert and Elliot; brother, Shawn Carone, Roaring Brook Twp.; sister, Shannon Wijaya, and husband, Harta, Roaring Brook Twp.; a nephew, Noah Wijaya; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Brad’s life will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Connect Church, 406 N. Main St., Taylor with Rev. Tim Webb officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
