Michelle E. (Mayock) Williams of West Scranton passed away Thursday evening at Allied Hospice in Scranton following an illness. She was 56 years young. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Russel I. Williams.
Born on October 13, 1967, Michelle was the daughter of the late Robert and Judy (Koslosky) Mayock. She held various employment before finding her dream job, working as a legal assistant for Brian J. Cali and Associates in Dunmore.
Michelle will forever be remembered in so many ways. She was a “girly girl” who loved getting dressed up and wearing colors to illustrate her beauty, while undoubtedly making heads turn when she entered a room. She was magnetic and those around her were instantly drawn to her beauty, laughter and optimism.
She absolutely adored her family. She and Russel held a special bond with one another where simply being together meant everything to them. She loved her step-son Stephen as if he were her own, was always proud of Stephen’s wife’s Kristen’s achievements and adored her grandsons.
She was upbeat and always one to see the positive side in every situation. She took amazing care of her vegetable garden, was never one to pass up a good dance and was strong in faith, having been a member of Jackson Street Baptist Church. Her impact on the lives around her was too immense to ever be forgotten.
Along with Russel, she is survived by her step son, Stephen Williams and wife Kristen of Falls Twp.; two grandsons, Logan and Jayden Williams; two brothers, Mark and Michael Mayock, both of Scranton; and a niece and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michelle’s name to Cats and Dogs of Nay Aug Zoo c/o 700 Nay Aug Rd, Scranton, PA 18510.
A celebration of Michelle’s Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 31st, to begin at 1:00 PM with a blessing by Rev. Elliott Cooke at 111 Overlook Dr., Falls Twp. All are welcome.
Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main St., Scranton.
