John T. Petrosky, 91, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, died Wednesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton.  His wife and
 best friend of 59 years, the late Beverly Antal Petrosky, died February 7, 2023.
Born October 28, 1932 in Old Forge, son of the late John and Anna Haynos Petrosky, John was a graduate of Old Forge
High School.  A Korean War Veteran, John served honorably in the United States Air Force.  John’s career started at
Capitol Records, and prior to his retirement, he was employed by Schott Optical Glass, Duryea.  A member of the former
St. Michael’s Church, Old Forge, John was a parishioner of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
A true family man, John enjoyed family gatherings and outings.  An avid outdoorsman, John enjoyed picking mushrooms
and blueberries, but his passion was fishing.  He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his family and all whose lives
he touched.
Surviving are: his devoted children, John Petrosky, Mayfield, and Pamela Dieffenbach, and fiance, William Knowles, Harding;
 loving grandchildren, Victoria Petrosky, and Parker and Riley Dieffenbach; brother, Roman Petrosky, and wife, Grace, Sinking
Springs, PA; several nieces and nephews.
Siblings, Pearl Brzycki, Joseph Petrosky, Felix Petrosky, Helen Barry, and Beatrice Szostek preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 AM in Prince of Peace Parish, St. Mary’s  Church, Old Forge, to be
celebrated by Rev. August Ricciardi, pastor.  Interment with Military Honors by the AMVETS Honor Guard to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc.,
517 N. Main Street, Old Forge.
