Celia (Ragantesi) Goldowski, formerly of West of Pittston and more recently of Clarks Summit, passed away on Saturday afternoon at Abington Manor. She was 90 years old.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Enrico Gubbiotti, she had remarried and was also preceded in death by her second husband, Henry Goldowski, on July 7, 2022.
Born on October 25, 1933, and raised in Exeter, Celia was the daughter of the late Daniel and Perina (Gregorio) Ragantesi. Upon her marriage, she began her family and raised four adored children. Her children certainly always came first.
An absolute riot, Celia’s humor will never be forgotten. Her wit made her absolutely beloved to those around her, especially all of those at Abington Manor. She was a perpetual cleaner, an amazing cook and never missed an opportunity to play a few slot machines. Above all came her family who will forever miss her.
She is survived by four children, Donna Errigo of Clarks Summit, Christine Smith of Cape Coral, Fl., Pamela DeRosso and husband Robert of Boynton Beach, Fl., and Rick Gubbiotti and wife Ann Marie of North Port, Fl.,; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; brothers, nieces and nephews.
A son-in-law, John Errigo; and siblings, Irene Schirano, Frank, Rudy and Jerry Ragantesi, also preceded her in death.
Her family wishes to thank the entire staff of Abington Manor for really making Celia feel at home with its collective care and compassion.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge.
