On March 13th she also celebrated her 48th wedding anniversary with her husband Amos Shannon.

Born in Old Forge on March 28, 1937, Jean was the daughter of the late Bruno and Katherine Angeli. A graduate of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1955, she would go on to raise a family of four children.

Jean will forever be remembered in so many ways. She enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader, was a serious sports fan, and never passed up an opportunity to go shopping. She always looked absolutely amazing.

Above all else came her family. Jean was a devoted wife, adoring mother and loving “nanny” to her six grandchildren. She will be forever be missed.

Along with Amos, she is survived by her adoring family including her children, Joseph Maraz and wife Marilyn of Old Forge, Nicole Gazoo and husband Tony of Eynon, Danielle Kincel and Shane McNamara of Moosic and Janine Emmel and husband Curt of VA.; six grandchildren, Kayla, Karl, Kamryn, Emily, Ava and Sam; her brothers, Gene Angeli and companion Sharon Argo of Exeter and Bruce Alba of DE.; and a niece Debra Angeli of DE.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Angeli; a niece, Sharon Angeli; and two grandchildren, Karl Joseph Kincel, IV and Amelia Marie Emmel.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 AM at Saints Anthony and Rocco Parish, 303 Smith Street in Dunmore.

Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main Street in Old Forge.
