Michael Walsh, age 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27th, at home in Olyphant.

Born in Scranton on July 21, 1954, Michael was the beloved son of the late Jerome and Irene (Hundich) Walsh. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. while earning the rank of Corporal prior to his honorable discharge on June 7, 1982. Prior to his retirement he worked for Specialty Records in Olyphant.

He is survived by his family, including his daughter, Jill Edsall and husband Dan of Virginia Beach, VA.; his son, Nicholas Walsh of Las Vegas, NV.; his granddaughter, Elodie; his siblings, Jerome Walsh of Blakely, Reny Stratton and husband Charles “Chuck” of Co., and Sharon Hazzouri and husband Joseph of Clarks Summit; and many nieces and nephews.

A sister, Patricia “Pat” Brown, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services with military honors and burial at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
