Michael Moraski, 71, of Scranton, passed away Sunday surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born December 29, 1952, he was the son of Trudy Moraski, Scranton, and the late Edward Moraski. Mike was a graduate of Scranton
Technical High School Class of 1970. He was a proud Army Veteran who joined the service right out of high school at age 17. He served
overseas a tour of duty at Camp McKenzie in South Korea as a Spec-4 with the 7th Calvary 2nd Infantry Division. He also served with the
National Guard from 1978-81. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Allied Services.
Mike was known for his cooking skills and took great joy in feeding family and friends. He was a member of a rock band earlier in life and
had a great love of music. He also loved traveling with his wife. His presence will be sorely missed and his memory will be treasured. We
will love you forever and you will never be forgotten. You were definitely worth knowing.
Surviving are his wife and best friend, Margie (Disimoni) Moraski; son, Jake, and wife Tara; Daughter, Kelly, and companion, Dave; stepson,
Gary, and companion, Jaka; stepdaughter, Kayla and Fiance, Brian; Sister, Nancy, and Fiance, Mark; brothers, Al, and wife, Pam; Steve, and
wife, Suzy; Karl, and wife, Siobhan; Sister-in-law, Marne McLaughlin, and husband, Tom; his beloved grandchildren; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Larry.
The family would like to thank the oncology department at Wilkes-Barre Veterans Administration and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for
all their compassion and care.
