Debra L. Trowbridge, 64, of Duryea, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Geisinger Community Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Her fiance of 12 years was Robert Wheeler.

Born Sept. 9, 1959, in Newark, N.J., daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Dally Bauer, Debra was employed by Hampton Inn, Clarks Summit, in housekeeping. Educated in New Jersey schools, Debra was of the Protestant faith.

A loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Debra treasured her family, but the apple of her eye was her grandkids. Saying “This girl runs on Dunkin'” is an understatement, because without it, mornings didn’t start. Debra had a work ethic like no other, but she also enjoyed time at home playing games on her phone. Taken too soon, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her daughter, Tiffany Dubreuil and fiance, Michael Hodorovich, Duryea; stepson, R.J. Wheeler and fiancee, Nikki Bartoli, Peckville; grandchildren, Stephen, Kayla, Brooke, Ari, Jace and Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.

Siblings, Robert and Patricia Bauer, preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Debra’s Life will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Shambora, officiating.

Relative and friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
