Obituaries

Pamela Ann Young, 73, of Scranton, died Thursday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center.  Her husband of 30 years was Ronald Frederick who died in 2013.

Born January 21, 1950 in Dover, NJ, daughter of the late Charles and Gloria June Brown Young, Pamela was a graduate of Dover High School.  She spent  most of her career s a private duty caregiver.  Pamela was of the Catholic faith.

Pamela was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who treasured her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed bingo and yard sales.  An avid football fan, her team was the Green Bay Packers and never missed a Sunday to watch the games with her family.
Taken too soon, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are:  a son, Charles McNear, and wife, Shannon, Scranton; daughter-in-law, Donna McNear, Scranton; sister, Charlene Leary, and husband, Richard, New Jersey; grandchildren, Morgan, Jordan, Trevor, Ariel, and Devin McNear; great grandchildren, Avyanna, LayLani, Jaxton, and Cove; two nieces, a nephew and a great niece.

A son, Theodore McNear, and a brother, Brian Young preceded her in death.

Private arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Avenue, Scranton.
