Theodore (Teddy) A. Sobuta, age 77, of Old Forge, passed away Monday, October 23rd, at home following an illness.
Born April 4, 1946, Teddy was the son of the late Theodore and Josephine (Walsewicz) Sobuta of Old Forge. A 1965 graduate of Old Forge High School, he worked for Artcraft Studios and drove truck making local and long distance deliveries for various companies before his disability.
Teddy was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions fan, enjoyed watching golf and New York Yankees baseball. Most of all, he loved having his close friends sitting around his kitchen table talking for hours.
Teddy never passed up a good sale, and especially loved his trips to Price Chopper in Taylor. He rescued many dogs throughout his life and is survived by his last companion, his husky “Everest.”
He is also survived by many close friends, and will be dearly missed.
Per his wishes , he will be cremated and burial will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge.
