Nancy H. (Hair) Davis of Taylor passed away Tuesday at Allied Hospice in Scranton, after a recent illness. She was 80 years young.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Davis. Wed on December 4, 1971, the couple celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Born in Scranton on September 9, 1943 and daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Ann (Miller) Hair, Nancy was a graduate of West Scranton High School, Class of 1961. Upon raising her adored son, Nancy went on to work as a secretary for Nasser Real Estate, even after her retirement.
She was a lifelong member of the Embury United Methodist Church in West Scranton, and was also a longtime member of the former Junior Century Club.
An avid reader, Nancy owned a countless amount of books and cherished time spent with her friends at book club. She also never missed an opportunity to go shopping. Above all else came her family. Taken too soon, she’ll be forever loved and missed.
Along with Joseph, she is survived by her loving son, Steve Davis and wife Lauren of Newton Twp.; her grandson, Benjamin Davis; and cousins and friends.
