Sandra Madajeski, age 69, of Scranton, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Alllied Services’ William Warren Scranton Residence, where she had resided.
Born on September 16, 1953, Sandra was the daughter of the late Edward and Isabelle (Slebodnik) Madajeski. In her younger years, she was a familiar face at Boscovs as she absolutely loved buying clothes and dressing up. She was especially proud of her fashionable skirts and her flashy costume jewelry. Some of her fondest memories were made during casino trips alongside her partner in crime, her mother.
Later in life as Sandra moved to Allied Service’s campus, she developed meaningful relationships with those around her. Her laugh was contagious and it’s been said that to simply hear her laughing was enough to bring a smile to all of those around her. She enjoyed being with both the residents and the staff of Allied’s Service Day Program and looked forward to participating in its daily activities. Her impact on others was immense and she’ll certainly never be forgotten by all of those who loved her.
She is survived by her dear friends; nephews; and cousins. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Ronald, in 2021.
Graveside services by Rev. Fran Landry, C.P., are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday at the Cathedral Cemetery in West Scranton.
