Nestor “Tito” Matos, age 53, of Scranton and formerly of New York, passed away Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, after an illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Maribel Cortes.
A New York native, Tito was born on March 10, 1970, to Vienvenida (Acevedo) Matos of Scranton. He served as director as River View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilkes Barre before becoming self-employed, operating a package delivery service.
Private funeral services were from the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with burial following at Dunmore Cemetery.
