John “Jack” Weber, recently of Shenandoah and formerly of Taylor, passed away Sunday at home. He was 31 years young.
A proud father of two boys, he is survived by his legacy, his sons Jace Anthony (6) and John Michael Weber (3).
Born on April 30, 1992, Jack was the son of Eileen (Ciciani) Penwarden and husband Daniel of Old Forge and Michael Weber and fiancé Lisa of Shenandoah. After attending Old Forge High School, Jack was a construction general laborer for many years, most recently working for his father, after working for Golden Technologies prior to moving out of the area.
Jack will long be remembered for countless things. He enjoyed skiing, fishing and quading. He’d never pass up a chance to play BINGO and some of his fondest memories were made at the beach, especially in Florida with Eileen.
He was kind, loving and humorous. Despite any struggles he may have faced, he wore a perpetual smile. Above anything else in his life came his sons whom he adored. He was a proud father and now looking down upon them, he’d want them to know just how much he will always love them.
Recently returning to the church guided by his faith, he became a member of St. Michael’s Church in Shenandoah.
Along with his sons and parents, he is also survived by his loving sister, Danielle DePrimo and husband Angelo of Scranton; nephew and niece, Buddy and Delilah DePrimo; step sisters, Heather and Tara Kratz; step brothers, Steve Aleckna, Jay Purvis, Jay Penwarden and Bill Hadden; aunts, uncles and cousins. Infant siblings, Nicole and Matthew Weber, also preceded him in death.
Blessing services are scheduled for Monday at noon at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wilkes Barre.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 10:00 AM until services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to any branch of M&T Bank for a trust established for his sons, Jase and John.
