Jerome W. Rempe, 68, a resident of Dupont, died Wednesday morning in Oakridge Nursing Center, Taylor.

Born July 20, 1954, son of the late Jerome and Marion Rempe, Jerome attended Scranton Schools and served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Having a strong work ethic, Jerome was employed in the moving industry by Mayflower and Beacon Moving Companies. He was of the catholic faith.

A loving father and grandfather, Jerome made his family his life. Not one to be couped up, Jerome enjoyed being outdoors. Fishing and camping were always on his list of things to do. Taken way too soon, he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

The family would like to thank the VA Medical Center, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and the nurses and staff of Oakridge Nursing Center for the care and compassion shown to Jerome during his illness, and for their support and kindness shown to the family.

Surviving are: his children, Maria Ciccone, and husband, Chris, William Ciccone, Jeremy Ciccone, and Anthony Rempe; grandchildren, Evria and Ariana; his longtime companion, Dorothy Lee; and a sister, Catherine Rempe-Coyne.

His brother, Fred Rempe also preceded him in death.
