Florence (Gall) Derenick, age 85, a lifelong Taylor resident, passed away Thursday morning while at Viviant Health Care in Chattanooga, TN., after an illness.
Born in Taylor on August 23, 1937, and daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria Gall, Florence was a 1955 graduate of the former Taylor High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the local garment industry.
A longtime member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Taylor, she was also an active member of the Taylor Senior Citizens years ago. She loved her family and will never be forgotten by family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved children, Edward Derenick of Chattanooga, TN, Andrew Derenick of Moscow, Susan Derenick and Lorraine Sharifi, both of Orlando, FL.; grandchildren, Amy, Tammy, Blake, Ryan, Sheereen and Shantel; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Anthony Gall of Dover, DE and Sophie Ptaszek of Rochester, NY. and nieces and nephews. Six siblings also preceded her in death.
