Frances Daleo, 93, of Scranton and formerly of Lake Wallenpaupack, died Thursday morning at home.
Born Josephine Cataldo on August 26, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Ann Scharf Cataldo, Frances was employed as a realtor selling properties at Lake Wallenpaupack and also timeshares.
A loving person with a heart of gold, Frances lived for her family. Frances enjoyed polka dancing and martial arts. Forever loved, Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her loving children, Alan, Caroll, and Debra; seven grandchildren Karen, Peter, Tanya, Samuel, Hannah, James, and Windsor, who she raised as her own daughter; eight great grandchildren, Malachai, Anthony, Desiree, John, Jeremiah, Dominic, Sophia, and Jordan; and her best friend, Ann.
A daughter, Nina preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Frances’ Life will be held on Sunday at 3 PM in the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N Main Ave., Scranton.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 1 PM until the time of the service in the funeral home.
