Elijah Brian Lalgee, 23, of Scranton, died Sunday, Feb. 19.
Born Oct. 29, 1999, in Scranton, son of Martia Lavita Bridges, Scranton, and Brian Charles Lalgee, Bronx, N.Y., Elijah was a 2021 graduate of Scranton High School. While attending Johnson College, he was employed by McDonald’s, Keyser Avenue, as a grill master. Having a strong faith and love for his Lord, Elijah was a member of Salvation Apostolic Church, Scranton.
A very generous and outgoing person, Elijah had a heart of gold. His family was his world, and he loved taking care of his sister, Aaliyah. Always on the go, Elijah had a strong work ethic, a hunger for education and a passion for technology. He built his own computer and enjoyed playing around on his cell phone. Elijah had a love for people and would give the shirt off his back. His compassion and empathy were evident in his commitment to donating plasma to help in any way he could. His loss will be deeply mourned, but his impact will live on in the lives of those he touched.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his loving siblings, Issiah Bridges, Texas; and Mekkhi and Aaliyah Bridges, Scranton; his maternal grandmother, Marcia Oates-Brandon, Scranton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
A Home Going service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Salvation Apostolic Church, 223 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with Bishop Ray B. Johnson, officiating.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects Sunday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service in the church.
Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
