Obituaries

Nancy Gatto Parrick, age 82 and a longtime Duryea resident, passed away peacefully on New Year’s Day. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gatto, on November 24, 1966.
Born on February 23, 1940, and raised in Duryea, Nancy was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ruth (Birkbeck) Huddleson. A graduate of the former Duryea High School, for five decades she worked as the bookkeeper for Moosic Auto Sales.
Nancy was an avid antique collector, never passed up a good auction, and she absolutely adored her pup, “Timmy.” She will be forever missed by her dear loved ones.
Nancy is survived by her loving family who she cherished; daughter and caregiver, Lori Mascaro and husband Joseph; their sons, Joey Mascaro and wife Danzeleen and great grandson, Aiden, and Stephen Mascaro and wife Samantha; her sister, Jayne Perry of Duryea; nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Amanda Digiovine; and also her son, John Gatto, Jr. and family.
