Kyle Joseph Koch, 39, of Scranton, died unexpectedly at home.

Born December 22, 1982 in Scranton, son of Joyce (Koch) Kolasensky, Scranton, Kyle was a graduate of West Scranton High School.

Kyle adored his children, they were his life. A close second were his 49ers. Kyle bled red and gold. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an animal lover. Kyle was a people person and treasured time spent with his friends. Gone way too soon, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his pride and joy, his children, Amy and Dante Koch, Scranton; a brother, John “Fuzzy” Harmer, Scranton; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A brother, Steven Koch, and maternal grandmother, Thelma Townend, preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Kyle’ Life will be held on Thursday at 7 PM in the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Avenue, Scranton, with Rev. Dr. Michael Shambora, officiating.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 5-7 PM in the funeral home. In honor of his love for the 49ers, everyone is encouraged to sport the red and gold colors.
