Lynn Joan Wakalowski, 65, of Taylor and formerly of Paterson, New Jersey, died Friday at home.
Born June 23, 1957 in Paterson, NJ, daughter of the late Benjamin, Sr., and Rosina Labagnara Wakalowski, Lynn attended John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson and was employed as a Private Duty Nurse.
Lynn was a beautiful personboth inside and out. Her family was her life and her children were her passion. A devout catholic, her faith in her Lord was unmovable. She was proud of her New Jersey roots, enjoyed Rock and Roll, and was a faithful listener of Rock 107. Taken too soon, Lynn will be deeply missed by her adoring family.
Surviving are, her son, Brandon Phillips, and Fiancee, Bianca Ayala, Scranton, and her daughter, Lea Phillips, Scranton; sisters, June Penyak, Blakely, Carol Wakalowski, Old Forge, and Helen Shawah, Montvale, NJ; a brother, Bruce Wakalowski; and several nieces and nephews, including a niece Heather with whom she had a special bond.
A sister, Jane Billingsley and brothers, Benny and Bobby Wakalowski preceded her in death.
A private Memorial Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis Street, Scranton to be celebrated by Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N Main St, Old Forge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Professional Arts Building, 327 N. Washington Ave., #501, Scranton, PA 18505.
