Caroline Perry, age 83, a resident of Dunmore Health Care Center and formerly of Taylor and Archibald, passed away Wednesday evening at Geisinger Danville Medical Center.

Born in Scranton on May 26, 1939, Caroline was the daughter of the late Francis P. Martin and Marjorie Perry.

Caroline will long be remembered with great fondness and a smile. Possessing a booming and unforgettable voice, Caroline never hesitated to speak her mind. Her humor was amazing. She truly led a meaningful life filled with love and joy. She will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

For over 30 years Caroline was supported by UCP of NEPA. She was longtime member of The Arc of NE PA. Participating in The Arc’s annual holiday show was one of her favorite events.

She loved the holidays. Anticipating and preparing for the next upcoming holiday brought her great joy. Celebrating her birthday was always a joyful and fun filled occasion. Caroline would never pass up a good Hallmark Christmas movie. She was arguably Elvis Presley’s #1 fan, having visited The King of Rock and Roll’s former home, Graceland, on several occasions.

She is survived by her friends and extended family of both U.C.P. of NEPA and The Arc of NEPA.

A blessing service is scheduled for Friday at noon in the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Avenue, Scranton, with burial to follow at the Cathedral Cemetery. Extended family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until services.
