Guy Zachary Macciocco, 38 years young and a West Scranton resident, tragically passed away in a house fire on Saturday.
Born in Scranton on August 16, 1984 and beloved son of Dorothy Mabe and Guy P. Macciocco, Guy was raised in Newton-Ransom where he was a 2002 graduate of Abington Heights High School. Mechanically skilled and ultra handy, Guy worked as a mechanical technician at several auto repair garages in the area.
An outdoorsman, some of Guy’s best memories were of the countless hours spent riding his quad throughout the trails of the Newton-Ransom area. He loved his music, was extremely handy and had a sense of humor to never be forgotten. Those who knew him also knew how much he loved animals, especially his dog, “Willow.”
Despite facing several challenges in his life, he forged ahead with the amazing support of his family and he certainly loved his family just the same. Forever now quading the paths of heaven in the sky, he will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He is also survived by his daughter, Gabriella Macciocco; his sister, Carly Tansits; and his niece and nephew, Cory Arin and Ember Tansits, all of Scranton.
