Anthony (Tony) Graziano, Jr., age 75 of Scranton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday night at home.
Born in Carbondale on February 10, 1947, and daughter of the late Anthony, Sr. and Mary (Luparella) Graziano, Tony was a graduate of Ben Franklin High School class of 1965 then right after high school joined the U.S. Army National Guard Advanced Infantry. He was the longtime owner and operator of the West Side Core Company, prior to his well-deserved retirement.
Tony was a lifelong sports fan, an avid fisherman, a hunter and an all around outdoorsman. He also loved his fireworks.
Also enjoying casinos, Atlantic City, N.J. was like his second home. Often saying to others that “Tony is my name and blackjack is my game”, he never met a card deck he didn’t like but he also wouldn’t pass up a good slot machine neither. He was a loyal friend and a loving Dad and grandpa who will never be forgotten by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving family including three daughters, Jennifer Jones, Natalie and Melissa Graziano; step-children, Chris and Mark Rutkowski, Daniel, Elizabeth and Matthew Smith; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Arabella, London, Noah, Jordan, Kamilla and Cy; and a great grandchild, Ryder ; a sister, Deborah Patterson; his former wife , Debora Rutkowski she was the mother to his children ,life partner, best friend and always there for each other ; also a niece and nephew and cousins, including cousins and best friends Pauly D. and Sheldon Rukse
A beloved daughter, Jennifer Rutkowski-Graziano, also preceded him in death on on April 29th, 2019.
His family would like to thank Tony’s dearest friends, Sheldon, Paulie , “Chick”, and Patty H. for their longtime loyalty and loving friendship.
A Celebration of Tony’s Life is scheduled for Monday at 6:00 PM in the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Ave., Scranton, with a blessing service and military honors by the AMVETS Honor Guard to follow.
