Cassandra Alicia Robinson, 43, of West Scranton, died Thursday, June 9th at home after a brief illness.

Born July 12, 1978 in Kingston, daughter of Deborah Shedlock Robinson and her companion, James DeLorenzo, Scranton, and the late James B. Robinson, Sr., Cassandra was a graduate of West Scranton High School and received her Medical Assistant certificate from Fortis Institute. Cassandra worked at Carmen’s Restaurant in Scranton as a server and bartender and for banquets, also in the healthcare field, and most recently with PA American Water in customer service. She danced for many years with local dance studios.

Cassandra was a dedicated mom and loved her family. She excelled at sports, especially track and field, and her picture with her medals were prominently displayed at Audubon School for years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, camping, and the outdoors, and was proud of her awards with the girl scouts. Cassandra loved football, especially the Redskins. Gone way too soon, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are in addition to her mother are her loving children whose accomplishments she was very proud of, Bradley Robinson, Bronx, NY, Taylor Robinson, Scranton, and Riley and Skylar Robinson, Scranton; a brother, James B. Robinson, Jr., Scranton

A Celebration of Cassandra’s Life will be held privately by the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., Scranton.
