Obituaries

Thomas (T.J.) Matthew Fritz Jr., 26, of West Scranton, passed away Saturday.

Born in Scranton on July 16, 1995, T.J. was the beloved son of Stacy (Steinruck) Green and husband, David of Scranton and Thomas Fritz Sr. and wife, Rose of Dickson City. He was educated at Mid Valley High School before beginning his own auto detailing business, to which he was proud of. He was currently working at Eddies Tire and Auto Service in Scranton.

Never idle, T.J. was always on the go and he absolutely loved the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, New York Giants football, detailing cars and, above all else, spending time with his family. Taken from his loved ones too soon, he’ll be forever missed by family and friends.

He is also survived by his three sisters, Ashley and Sabrina Fritz, both of Dickson City, and Jazmarae Green of Scranton; grandparents, Judy and John Steinruck and Joan Fritz; and aunts, uncles, cousins and a niece and a nephew, Aubrey Fritz and Matthew Chismar; his godfather, John “Jay” Fritz Sr. (Jay); and his godmother, Amanda (Murcia) Betancourt.

He was preceded in death by his “Poppy,” Herman Fritz Sr.

A celebration of T.J.’s life is scheduled for Saturday between 2 and 5 p.m. at the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
