Mary (Lescinsky) Capulish, age 89, a guest at Green Ridge Health Center, passed away Saturday morning. She was preceded in death on August 4, 2014 by her best friend and beloved husband of 54 years, Michael Capulish.
Born in Scranton on September 10, 1932, and daughter of the late Boleslaw and Helen (Kurtz) Lescinsky, Mary was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School.
She worked as an audio tester at the former Capitol Records, where she would meet her adoring husband while working together. Her work ethic and sharp business mind were admirable and the memories of her Atlantic City trips, Sunday baking and love of the polkas listening with Michael will all never be forgotten.
Family came first, always, and she was an adoring mother and grandmother who will never be forgotten.
She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Church in Scranton.
She is survived by her loving daughter and devoted caregiver, Debra Stivala of Canadensis; her granddaughter, Marlessa Stivalaof Queens, N.Y.; her brother, William Lescinsky and wife Joan of Covington Twp.; and many nieces and nephews.
Siblings, Joseph and Charles Lescinsky, Dorothy Tomlinson, Rose Diana and Helen Keiper, also preceded her in death.
Debra would like to acknowledge and thank the amazing staff of Green Ridge H.C.C. for the care, compassion and kindness shown to both her and her mother throughout her stay. She would also like to thank both the staffs of Sacred Heart Hospice and also Geisinger CMC Staff.
