Brian Kane Jr., 41, of Scranton, died Thursday.
Born in Scranton on Aug. 8, 1980, he was the beloved son of father, Brian Kane Sr. and wife, Michele (Owens), of Scranton; and mother, Donna (Ligi) Gibbs, with whom Brian resided. He was a graduate of Western Wayne High School and most recently worked for the Family Dollar Co.
Brian enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be fishing or playing Pokemon Go. His memory will forever remain with his family and friends.
He is also survived by his grandfathers, Joseph Kane Sr., Moosic; and Robert Clark, Mount Cobb; grandmothers, Margaret (Owens) Lowry, Scranton; and Cecilia Clark, Mount Cobb; siblings, Corey Gibbs, Lake Ariel; Donnie McCane, Scranton; and Kaitlyn Gibbs, Dunmore; his best buddy and light of his life, Adrian; a niece, Bailey; two nephews, Ethan and Skyler; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Rosalie Kane, on March 22.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge.
Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 4 p.m. until services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brian’s name to the family, c/o Animal Care Associates of Scranton.
