Obituaries

Geraldine McHale, a lifelong Scranton resident, passed away Wednesday at Danville Medical Center.
Born on April 1, 1947 and daughter of the late James B. and Mary (Gavronsky) McHale, Geraldine was a graduate of the former St. Patrick’s High School.
Geraldine worked in the advertising department of The Globe for many years, prior to its closure.
Before her retirement, she also worked at both Fleet and Penn Security Banks.
An avid traveler who loved being on the go with her friends, she also embraced the friendships made with her friends and neighbors at The Forum Towers where she resided. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram Street in Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Richard Fox, Pastor. Entombment will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until Mass.
