James R. Clark, age 77, of Scranton, passed away Monday at Allied Hospice in Scranton, after an illness.
Born on March 17, 1944, and raised in Meshoppen, James was the son of the late Burgess McKay and Helen May (Stark) Clark. He was preceded in death by his companion of 25 years, June Mayak on March 8, 2018.
For many years, he had worked as a stone quarry stone stacker. Jim was a quiet man who enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his friends George and McGavin. Now at peace, he will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was also preceded in death by a son and three siblings.
Memorial services will be Saturday, February 19th, at 2:00 PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Visitation will be from noon until services. Please visit the funeral home’s website to leave a condolence.
