Obituaries

Kenneth C. Rose, age 77 and a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Monday at The Gardens at Scranton.
Son of the late Carl and Margaret (Reuther) Rose, Kenneth was a 1962 graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School. A lifelong butcher, he worked for Gutheinz Meats, Inc. prior to his retirement. The former president of the South Scranton Little League and Cubmaster of the Pack 16, also in South Scranton, he will long be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Barbara Rose; nephews, David and Stephen Rose; a niece, Kimberly Rose; and six grand nieces.
Brothers, John “Jack” Rose and Carl J. Rose, Jr., also preceded him in death.
Services with burial at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp., were private. Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Avenue, Scranton.
