Jacqueline “Jackie” (Wood) Ritch, age 86 of Taylor, Pa., formerly of Hubbard, and a seasonal resident of St. Petersburg, Fl., passed away Friday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, after an illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and traveling partner, Albert Ritch on January 22, 2015.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on July 3, 1935, Jackie was the daughter of the late Ralph and Evelyn (Stein) Wood. After moving to St. Petersburg, she worked for Electro Battery before returning to Ohio. After passing her Series 7 Exam, she was employed as a stock broker for The Ohio Company, based out of Columbus, prior to her retirement.
She absolutely loved to travel. From numerous cross-country road trips to countless cruises where she became a cruiseline V.I.P., she was always on the go. Now at peace, she’ll be forever missed by her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving family; five children, Brian Bacon and wife Elaine of Pa., Nadene D’Amelio of N.J., Brenda Alnemy and wife Beth Willard of Fl., Paula Pajor and husband Jack of Pa. and David Bacon and wife Sara of Fl.; siblings, Raymond Wood and wife Fran of Fl. and Roberta Krlich and husband George of Hubbard; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Siblings, Frieda Learn, Dixie Learn and Roy Wood also preceded her in death.
A celebration of Jackie’s life will be celebrated in the springtime. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
