Stanley Albert Bukowski, age 65, of Moosic, passed away Wednesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Robyn (Rimbey) Bukowski. The couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on September 7th.
Born in Moosic on February 22, 1956, son of the late William, Sr. and Alice (Decker) Bukowski, Stanley was educated at Riverside High School. A lifelong truck driver, he worked for IDC Trucking before DeFazio Express prior to his retirement.
An outdoorsman, he spent much of his time fishing, hunting and playing cards with his nephew, Joseph Wysocki, Jr., whom he considered the son he never had.
He loved quad rides, planting in his garden and even canning his own food. A survivalist, an excellent cook, a skilled handyman, a devoted family man, and certainly selfless, he would do anything for anyone in need.
He possessed a heart of gold and will be truly missed so much by his family and friends.
He is also survived by his adoring family, daughters, April Peck and husband Stan of FL., Michelle Bugianesi and partner Richard Roache of Hughestown, Lisa Golden and partner Steve Small of Moosic and Kailey Bukowski of TN.; his sister, Dorothy Cote of Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, Stephen Bugianesi, Lindsey Bugianesi, Ryan Peck, Tyler Bugianesi and Aiden Golden; three great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Siblings, David and William Bukowski, Jr., Marie Appnel and Paulette Dolman, also preceded her in death.
Robyn would like to especially thank the entire staff of Regional Hospital’s I.C.U. for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Stanley’s life to be conducted by Rev. Michael Shambora is scheduled for Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 11:00 AM until services at the funeral home. Mask requirements have been requested by the family.
