Agatha L. Brosky Brennan, 88, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Thursday in Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband of 50 years was Harry J. Brennan who died October 31, 2007.
Born June 15, 1933 in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Lena Vacendak Brosky Agatha was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She worked her way to Head of Collections with Whiteman Tower prior to her retirement. Leter on she became an Aide with Headstart. Agatha was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish, West Scranton.
A wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Agatha loved spending time with her grandkids, they were her life. But she could not pass up a good game of Bingo as well. Agatha was a was so many things in her life, but mostly, she was a mother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are two sons, Harry J. Brennan, and wife, Christine, Taylor, and Dr. Michael P. Brennan, Scranton
Five grandchildren, Elizabeth Caputo, and husband, Tony, Michael Brennan, Maura Brennan, Kaitlyn Brennan, and Dr. Sabrina Brennan, and fiance, Jake Korgeski; Great grandson, Kade Hettes; and several nieces and nephews
Siblings, Bernard Brosky, Eleanor Merrick, Marcella Lemoncelli, and John Brosky preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson Street, West Scranton to be celbrated by Rev. Richard Fox, pastor. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Oram St., Scranton.
There will be no public calling hours.
Arrangements are under the care of Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 N. Main Ave, Scranton.
