William “Billy” Griffiths, age 52, of Akron, Ohio and formerly of Scranton, passed away July 23rd surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on Scranton on December 20, 1968 and son of the late Harold, Sr. and Mildred (Fuller) Griffiths, Billy was employed by AUP of Akron, prior to his illness.
A sports fanatic, he loved NASCAR, Dallas Cowboys football and New York Yankees baseball. Taken from his loved ones much too soon, he will forever be missed by his loving family and friends.
Surviving are three sisters, four brothers, a daughter, a grandson, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Mocha.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a nephew.
A celebration of Billy’s life is scheduled for Saturday, August 7th, at 11:30 AM in the Salvation Army, 500 S. Washington Ave., Scranton, to be conducted by Major Ron Lugiano.
