Mu Jin Gao, 78, a resident of Scranton, died Thursday evening in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Yun Lin Zheng.

Born in China, she was the daughter of Ha Jin Yang, of China, and the late Xue Huo Gao. Educated in Chinese schools, Mu Jin was a devoted housewife and was of the Buddist faith.

Mu Jin was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, who loved her family. Her grandchildren were her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her daughter, Zhao Zheng, and companion, Ed Hendrzak, with who, she resided; three sons, Xiao Tan Zheng, Xiao Jie Zheng, and Xiao Cheng Zheng; grandchidlren, Stanley Lo, Ashley Lo, Joshua Zheng, Wilson Zheng, John Zheng, Ying Zheng, Nang Zheng, Sisi Zheng, Xiang Zheng, Jessica Zheng, and Jay Zheng; several brothers and sisters

A son, Xiao Zhong Zheng, preceded her in death.

There will be no public calling hours as per Mu Jin’s request.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., Old Forge.
