John W. Dodge, age 61, recently of Hazleton, passed away Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospice, after an illness.
Born on October 15, 1959, son of the late Frank Joseph, II and Carole Jean (Hall) Dodge, John had worked in food preparation. A lifelong football fan, he long rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles.
He’s survived by his family, his son John Dodge and his grandson, Nicholas Dodge, both of Dunmore; his siblings, Frank Dodge, lll and wife Debbie of Scranton, Cindy Dodge of Scranton, Judy Olecki of Dickson City, Diana Dodge of Scranton, Gina Hughes of Throop, Carol Dougherty of Scranton, Dean Dodge of Forty Fort, Stacey Dodge of Taylor and Jerry Dodge of Clarks Summit; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his niece, Rosemaria Dodge.
A memorial Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Prince of Peace Parish, in Old Forge is privately scheduled. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
