Obituaries

Thomas M. McCawley, aged 86 and from Wyoming, passed away Wednesday morning after an illness. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Johanna (Fereck) McCawley, in addition to his parents Leo and Mary (Ochreiter) McCawley, and his siblings Francis, Robert, Elizabeth Connors, Leo, Gerald, Richard and William.
Tom was a proud Navy Veteran, Jenkins Township constable, Nelson Furniture foreman, and a Techniglass and Wal-Mart employee. He is survived by his two sons, Ken McCawley of Avoca and Tom McCawley and his wife Donna of San Francisco; four grandchildren, Ella, Amelia, Tristan and Jesse; his three remaining siblings; his wonderful and numerous nieces and nephews; Pat Falvo and Jessica Falvo Homschek; and Nancy Smallwood and Laurie Adcock.
His family wishes to acknowledge and thank the entire staff of Lackawanna Health for the tremendous care given to Thomas throughout his stay. Memorial contributions may be made in Thomas’ name to Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center’s Resident Fund c/o 260 Terrace Dr., Peckville, Pa. 18452.
