Joann (Forster) Williams Puchalski, 62, a longtime resident of Scranton, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at home. Her husband of 13 years is Walter Puchalski.
Born March 24, 1958, daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Patricia Louise Brown Forster, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Joann was a factory worker for many years before attending trade school to become a CNA. Employed by numerous nursing homes in the area, she spent the last 6 years at Moses Taylor Hospital. Joann was of the protestant faith.
A very outgoing person, she was a member of various clubs in the area including the VFW Post 1227, American Legion Post 585 Ladies Auxiliary, and Polish Falcons, Duryea; Taurus Club, Scranton; West Side Club, Avoca; and also tended bar at the American Ukrainian Veterans Association in Scranton for a time. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Lee Ann Williams Theony, a son, William J. Williams, a sister, Cheryl Davis, and husband, William, Spring Brook Township; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
